Got every warning light on dash today.

Was driving thru the canyons and my dash started to explode with lights and sounds.

Was able to drive home.. Anyone experience this?

Last mod was MSR intake. Pretty certain that had nothing to do with this.
I was in the canyons and waam.
it was crazy.

Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Did the warnings go away after restart? Did you lose power steering but still were able to move the car?

If so, it happened to me as well (no mods). Went away after restart and didn't come back, but very disconcerting. No idea what it was.

It's because you don't have Full Leather. The heat from the sun was able to penetrate the non-merino leather dash and heat up the iDrive control unit causing the Christmas tree effect.

Did you end up getting it resolved? Would be interested to know what the fix was.

combatbmw stopped by when this happened and we reset the battery and cleared all codes with a BMW CAN tool - didn't resolve the issues. Next step would be the dealer to hook it up to their ISTA tool

There saying its a fuse, and when they replace it and drive it around the block it blows again.

All I can think about is my Valentine one radar detector thats hardwired.
but its been there for month now with no issues.

Thats exactly how I hardwired it. (done professionally)

Ok just got the word.

Pinched wire from my diffuser install, that caused the fuse to keep going out.

They wanted 480 to fix it. lol
Since its not in their warranty protocol.

Tell them if they want you to continue going to them and buying cars they better cover it.

Interesting, must have been grounding a wire to the chassis. Good luck with fix.

PS I have some news for you

The damaged wire kept blowing a fuse.
Which then caused a Xmas tree effect.

Call me today. Let me know.

How long did they take to troubleshoot it? 480 doesn't sound unreasonable for a bmw dealer. Granted it's not manufacturer issue per se, I think it's a decent amount

My car does this occasionally but goes away after restart - except this last time. I only have jb4.
