If you're stretching to pay $120k for a car, here's a simple idea: DON'T. I'd rather pay cash for an $80,000 car than be a forum baller in a car I can't afford. Most M5 owners either outgrew childish cars or have a stock M5 to drive to work and something awesome on the side. Back on topic: I think the package is a good price. When will people stop comparing OEM, factory-installed parts to some crap they can get aftermarket? Relative to the Akrapovič Evolution ($8,000), the Competition Package is not a bad price. I know the Competition Package does not include the full Evolution exhaust system, but even the Slip-On is a few grand. Factor in all of the other parts, installation for the front bushings, and the fact that some upgrades (diff, steering, and traction programming) cannot be had without the Comp Package, and you'll quickly realize that this is a good box to tick. |

I think if you look at the resale value or increased interest in the M3 used market on LCI and/or ZCP vs pre-LCI or non-ZCP, you'll find added value of checking that block. Plus you'll like yourself better in the morning.

Pricing doesn't look too bad. Especially considering some on here were predicting ~$15,000 without carbon ceramics.
I noticed the new wheel option adds 0.5 inch width (front and rear). Does anyone know the weight (vs the other option)?

I wonder how much it would be to retrofit the touch controller to pre-LCI models. Hopefully it's just the controller, since replacing the CIC unit as well seems like it would be quite pricey.

It might or might not be overpriced, but I think most of us expected around this price for what was announced as being part of it.
The M3's at $2500 only really includes wheels and the EDC over the stock car with 18s. The suspension lowering and software changes likely don't cost BMW anything and they charged more than $4000 for the ///M exhaust. |

Since the touch controller supports gestures - I'm guessing BMW made some changes to the control unit to accommodate this.

Would be interested to know what the new offsets are too. Specifically, if this pushes the edges of the wheels out a bit.

Jason,
Would it be possible to post the May 19th F06/F12/F13 Price Guide in the 6Post section? More specifically, I'm trying to determine if the standard 433M M6 Gran Coupe wheels can be specified when ordering the ZCP Competition Package for the F06, etc. |

Good to see the put in the power side sunshades and switched to a manual rear sunshade.
They read my letters.

Ya, I wouldn't doubt this, but I wonder if it'd be a simple software upgrade to the existing unit. Hoping that's true, or something that can be unlocked via coding (since the touch controller was already in the Chinese models). |

that's a lot of dough for not much performance!!!! M5 should have the LED light as standard.

Personally, if I am in the market for M5, I'd look at other 4-doors. M6 coupe is be a better comparison than M5 IMO. Regardless, I'd choose M6 GC over any 4 doors in the market (maybe Panameras).

Concur that most M5 drivers either already do have an even more fun car for the weekends or can get one at any point if desired.

Lol what? No it's not. It's $101,500. Go to BMW.ca and see.
Optioned well it's $118k. We're going to get raped on comp package though $7300 US, compare their exec package which is $5500 and we pay $9000. Comp here will be $11k probably. F that. -J |

Is it safe to assume that the Comp Package on the M6 GC will be $6K, as it already comes standard with 20" wheels (which are a $1,300 option on the M5, hence the $7,300-$1,300=$6,000 M6GC Comp pack assumption).
When you factor in the higher M5 2014 MY base price, that HUD is not available as a standalone option anymore (which it still is on the 2014 M6 GC, so for a lot of folks like me that see no point in buying the $5,500 exec package with a bunch of tagged along needless stuff), the M5-M6GC price differential is pretty digestible. Heck, in the GC you get LED lights in the Exec package, which are a standalone option on the M5 above and beyond its own Exec package, so there seems to be a bit more embedded 'value' (or rather less price inflation LOL) in the M6GC. I think I just talked myself into a ED M6 GC (ZHP+manual naturally )

quite an attractive price point (at least in USA). I can't imagine how much bmw.ca wants for this package maybe over $10k? Was at a dealer a bit more than a week ago and saw that they are charging $9850(before tax) for frozen paint alone.
