Order Placed, wait begins...

UK buyer.

Just placed the order for my new M5 yesterday. Been told 12 weeks, can't wait. Current got the E90 M3. Any M3 drivers traded up to the M5? How different is it? I was blown away by the test drive.

Went for Monte Carlo Blue.

Congrats - 12 weeks is nothing, you;ll have your M5 in no time. I placed my deposit for Euro Delivery last May! Seven days til I head to Munich.

I came from an E90 M3. You will love the M5. Faster, more comfortable etc.

Be prepared for the larger dimensions. I find parking and navigating parking garages stressful. I miss the compact nature of the M3. Everything else is fantastic. Zero regrets.

After being told 12 weeks had become 16 weeks, it was actually about 10 weeks! Car being delivered today (Friday). Am like a kid on the night of Christmas Eve!

Will miss the M3 but can't wait to get into the M5!

Will post pics at some point after I can tear myself away from driving it....

So finally got it! It's so amazing!

Was at work yesterday so only drive it briefly, been keeping it to 3,500 revs as that's what I thought! Just seen the manual it's 5,500 revs! Keep going out and looking at it.
