The new competitor from AMG.....!

I think the new E63 will be a tough competitor to our M5īs.

The only problem I have with the 2014 E63 is the front bumper - it doesn't look like it fits with the rest of the body. That bumper style works well with the 4-Series Concept because of it's soft lines vs. the E63 AMG where it has more aggressive lines and not as "flat".

Wow, the new E63 does look pretty good. Can't wait to see how it performs!

Yep the new E63 looks good but no different than when I saw the F10 M5 coming out and had a 2010 E63... form improvements never end so Ill get the E63 for a short period of time then replace it.

It's the first MB I'd consider. I'll be ordering one of 2014 M5 or this thing (long shot).

This thing is gonna be sick, I always love AMG's. Comparing this e63 with the m5, IMO I would say the m5 is slightly more aggressive.(Mostly the front bumper) Where are those side gills like the previous e63 has? But this is just a preview so I could be wrong.

I think it looks good from the front. The side still looks like grandpas sedan. The back still looks like a Hyundai. Engine and 4matic will be interesting.

What is the "S?"

Is that yet another up charge?!

It's 0.5s quicker, 0 - 100 km/h, than my M5! :-(
And traction in all weather conditions.

I have to agree - something about the M5 just does it for me. I cant wait to get rid of the C63 (granted its a C and not an E). But I still regret getting rid of my e46 M3.

Both AMG contenders are striking to look at, especially with their 4-pot rear calipers

Any one know what the "S" designation is all about?

The "S" is the performance pkge.
S-Model Configuration  Power Increase (+27 hp, +59 lb-ft)  Limited slip rear differential  10-Spoke AMG Matte Titanium Grey alloy wheels with high-sheen
rim flanges  High-gloss black “A-wing”  Red Brake Calipers  Contrast stitching on seats, door trim, armrests and center
console  Silver seat belts (black interior only)  Alcantara steering wheel grips  ‘S’ badging on trunk and speedometer

I looked at the current E63 - great car and motor, but the seats were not at all good in my opinion and the rest of the interior was subpar in my book as well. However with these new specs I think it will beat the F10 M5 around a track.

And kudos for them for having roughly the same amount of power as the F10 M5 but instead of 14/20 they have 16/24 mpg. That's a pretty big difference imo.
