Yeah keep in touch which one you finally go for, GL. That black one looks more exciting with low miles in expensive Beverly hills.

First time I am hearing competition package is 600HP. There were 2 models in US that were claimed at 600HP that I am aware of, non comp is advertised as 560HP and comp is at 575HP. The 2 models that I am aware in US were the 2015 30th Anniversary and 2016 Pure Metal, both of which BMW claimed were tuned to 600HP.

You can use bimmer.work to decode the vin:

WBSFV9C56GD595603 - 2015-08 Comp package HK stereo, typical options

WBSFV9C5XGD595880 - 2015-10 Comp package HK stereo, typical options

Only option difference seems that the black has Alcantara roof liner.

Oh I see where the confusion comes from, in Europe and Canada there was Competition edition which came with 600HP, not to be confused with competition package in US which did bump 15HP from 560HP to 575HP

That explains it specifically, kudos to you for finding that, the 'Pure Metal Edition' for the States has this 600hp tweak while the later normal comp is still 575 only in black or white.
My heads still spinning taking all that in lol

Option 1 looks super clean (as you'd expect for the mileage). Well specced, but missing a couple of the nice to haves such as B&O and RSE (my kids love this - might not be an issue for you if you don't carry passengers).

Option 2 is nice, but definitely has some signs of wear and tear (driver's seat, gearknob and surround etc) and maybe even damage on the rear bar (where it meets the boot/trunk lid - see pic below). It too is missing some key spec items IMO (eg the full leather interior - dash, door cards etc and RSE). Certainly not fully loaded/every option as you have described (not trying to nitpick - just want to make sure you are going in fully informed on what you are buying) and doesn't really appear to have lived a pampered existence.

Of those two I think I'd probably go Option 1 - the low kay white on red car.

IMO red interiors can polarise people. I quite like them personally and have ordered a brand new car with red interior before, but some others I know wouldn't touch a car with red interior.

Yes I noticed the wear & tear items so I completely scratched that one off the list. I don’t care for RSE as though I have children they would never be in this car as it would be solely a for pleasure vehicle. I did use the website M Decode and realized option 1 has the full leather where as the black one in Beverly Hills has alcantara headliner but only extended leather. I would’ve liked to have the upgraded headliner but I choose the full leather and sub 500 mile history. Unless I find a option between now and tomorrow afternoon when the check is signed I’ll be a proud owner of one of if not THE lowest mileage F10 M5 in the country.

Side note.. I was disappointed about no B&O but I do not mind getting a quality aftermarket sound system in its place. Maybe JL interior w/ Sundown Subs.. any particular setup go well with this platform?

See how you go with the Harman Kardon. I've not heard it in the F10 personally (I have the B&O in mine) but you may find it to be sufficient (the OE sound systems in most mid range Euro cars are more than decent for most people's needs).

I had a 2014 650i with B&O and a 2012 740i with Top HiFi.. there’s no comparison. I’ll be upgrading I’m sure. B&O should be standard on M Cars. It’s a shame

How do I know if it’s the HL premium? Will I have to wait for the car to get here before I know for sure? MDecode doesn’t specify

There is only one HK system for M5. Maybe they call it premium in Europe. Honestly if you plan to upgrade doesn't really matter. I have HK and it is ok. By no means is amazing system but I would say that for B&O too.

As crazyinp says it may be a europe thing to call it premium. Mine came with DAB radio and a CD slot, there are sub woofers under the front seats and I think all of them have sound EQ adjust.

Just catching up on all of this abs my takeaway was, wow, prices have shot up. I didn't even think a 6spd would hit 75k, yet. I have a '16 CP with a 6spd and bought it in '20 for $57k (44k miles) makes me wonder where the market is heading!

My preference was 2 because I liked the color scheme better. Regardless, enjoy the new car and thanks for sharing the thought process behind it!

I would have LOVED a manual transmission but that 490 mile odometer eventually stole my wallet. Was a lot more then I wanted to pay but I truly believe this is the last true M5. Car hasn’t made it to FL yet in the inclosed trailer and I’m already looking to get a Dinan badge.. stay tuned

Not the biggest fan of the options on the low mileage option....

But

With those miles? In a heartbeat. You're buying a brand new f10 M5. Keep the miles low, and this car will never depreciate..

Apart from CCB, B&O, Alcantara headliner, rear entertainment and night vision what else is it missing?

I’ll be doing the Dinan tune, intake, suspension and carbon front / rear. After that keep the mileage low and see how the value holds
