Pict.'s of my '13 Frozen Black M5 w/E race (90mm tips) and Bel Stir+ - LI install

Finally had a moment to snap a few pictures of my beast to show the M5 community! I just completed the "counter measure" install (with guidance/helpful hints from a few board members here (you know who you are - thanks again!)). I will be testing in the next few weeks so we will see how good placement is.... ha

Looks great. I would suggest you get rid of the M Performance grilles, and get the proper Black Chrome M Performance Edition grilles. IND can supply them. The Black chrome grilles look fantastic on Frozen Black (see Avlnch's car).

Exhaust looks fantastic too.

What a beast!

The sun really plays tricks because from that angle, it looks like the body panels are different colours lol. I want a matte-coloured car now!

Thank you Sir! I'm considering the new '14 grill if it fits. Not sure if I want to go this route yet.

These are the black chrome front grilles by the way (and side gills/door handles) on FB. What Stealth was referring to.

BTW I now have a contact at M Gmbh who can help directly customize cars for me too.

He told me that all frozen cars should have black chrome and the problem is US dealers don't know how to properly configure the car!

Tell me about it. When I ordered my M5 I started talking to my dealer immediately after Individual emailed them my final specs. They were not involved in anything besides price negotiations. They were not used to selling a car this way.

But, at the same time we can't blame our local dealers. I don't think they get the right information and/or training in regards to individual. We order our cars with options that look good and we know are feasible because we have seen them before on other models. They think it's all impossible and "no possible way".. that is until they have an email in their inbox from an @bmw-m.com address with the option pricing needed to finalize the deal at the dealer level.

That car is awesome!

As for the clear bra. You really can't do that on the frozen without it being visible. I think Id rather have it than get chips in the frozen paint. When you see how BMW recommends "correcting" areas on frozen painted cars you would not want to go through it.

GREAT job on the car! Grill colors, etc are a personal preference. No such thing as "proper". Proper is what you think looks good. Black chrome is not a universal "right" choice. While it may in fact look good the gloss or matte may also look good. I like your car very much!

And those tips look wicked! ;-)

What brand clear bra did you use? Was it one that is made for matte finishes? Such as XPEL's stealth film?

Good choice with the LI!

Thank you! It's totally a preference and the only "shiny" part on the car at this point is those tips! So with that said, either black chrome or the matte piece works real well.....For me that is.
