M5 Key

I was just wondering, what do you guys do for the Key... Using a Key holder or just solo ?

I happen to drop the freaking key all the time... not sure why, my other car has a similar key, never used a key holder... and dropped it very rarely.

But I am getting a bit sick of dropping it, I think it will stop working soon...

Why did they make the key so much bigger? My e60 key was better sized. Tech is supposed to get smaller as it improves.

I couldn't quite figure that out either...my E92 M3 key was smaller but even with that key I thought it was too big...

The new F10 is key is large to begin with. I tried attaching a key chain but that made it way to large to carry around in a pocket. So, back to just the key fob in a pocket and that is usually where it stays

same size as the 7 series key.... considering much of the tech was borrowed from the 7, I assume this is why.

There is a place to place the key in the middle of the cupholders

I kinda agree. I wish they would put the Mpower symbol on the key for M5 owners.

Yeah I never understood that. Porsche, Audi, Ferarri... All still require you to put the key into the ignition. I really would have expected the Audi R8 to at least have keyless ignition as even an A4 and A6 can have it. This is one reason why I love BMW's. I love all of the technology that comes with them. Hell you can even pick up a 2006 M5 with keyless entry and keyless ignition.

Yeah I hate how the key is the same as all the other 5 series... I wish they would of gave us the new 7 series key fob it looks much better. I was actually expecting it was gonna be that key.
