HELP!!! AC is not working

hey everyone

i am not sure if this is the right place to put this? but i need some urgent help!!

i was driving the M5 over the weekend, all of a sudden the AC stopped working. i was like WTF, it was a 80 degree weekend. but once i get home, i checked all the fuses related to AC seems to be OK . i sat back in the car and found out the driver side was blowing warm air while passenger is blowing (sort of cooler).

i set the blowing to highest and the dial (red/blue) to blue *cool side*

anyone had this experience before i need to stop by the stealer?

yes - no warranty left on the car

I had this happen to me recently and it was an issue with the AC unit (condenser I believe). This is a known problem with our cars. Fortunately I am still under warranty so the dealer replaced it for free.

I just dealt with the same issue. My rear seats were blowing cold and my front area was very hot. The AC also started making this weird noise, took it into bmw and it was a bad condenser. They say it is common around the 3yr mark.

I would advise buying the condenser and having a good indy shop repair. BMW will be $$$$$$

What actually happens to the condenser? I know they can easily be damaged, but is there a flaw?

I had the exact same issue a few months back, they changed the condensor unit. It was under warranty so not sure about the cost.
I read in one of the posts if you use your heater some part in the condensor cracks from the heat and causes the issue. Could be wrong about the cause
