About 3 hrs labour by a competent mechanic, after cooling time.

£200ish in the UK at an independent garage.

$300 USD is about the cheapest. Anything more than $400 USD is a ripoff.

Got a quote from somewhere else for a good price. This is my daily driver so I'm hoping it will be tolerable. Anyone else daily drive with catless? Is it manageable with the smell?

I daily drive mine and you hardly notice the smell. I really only smell it if I'm backing up or if I'm at a light with my windows down.

Thats one reason I haven't installed them yet. Mississippi is not a very friendly state to get things done to cars. They are F**cking scared to touch these cars.

Won't make any difference at all. The smell is due to lack of catalytic converters, nothing to do with heat wrapping.

Just think of it as a 80's retro smell from the days before CATs were fitted

Yep. I had some nice AMS lined up at a fair price. My BMW guy wanted $950 to install. Facepalm

Now that my downpipes are on it sounds much better. I don't know if it's me or what but I've been noticing that my gas mileage got noticeably worse. Anyone else get this? Also the engine bay is much cooler after a hard run

Sounds like foot just got heavier due to louder exhaust sound and better throttle response. LOL

Installation is 2.5-3 hours in total. That?s $400 at most.

one of the few advantages of living down here in the Dominican Republic. Dropped off car at 9am, and downpipes were installed and car was ready at 12:00pm. Cost, 6000 pesos. Which is $125 dollars. Included a complete carwash.
