Put BMC Filters in....

I had first did the charcoal delete. I noticed a slight difference in sound. Not like your typical open aired intake sound, but you could definitely hear your turbo's spool. I installed the BMC's and took it for a quick ride today. I can't really say if I notice a significant difference in power or throttle response, but I can tell you the sound of your turbo's spooling is increased substantially. I personally love that particular sound so I am happy I did this.

Agreed. Sounds great and really makes an aftermarket exhaust come alive.

Yeah thats definitely next on my list of what I want, but I only have the car for another 30 months. Is it worth it to spend 4 grand? I know I can sell it afterwards. It's killing me cause I know they will complement each other and secondly, the exhaust is kinda quiet on this car.

put in this way, if you do it, then you will be a happy man with grin on your face for the next 2.5 yrs. (when you sell, you probably can fetch $1500 to $2000 back ??)

If you don't do it, then no smile on your face each time you get in your car

I like the way you think bobblehead. However you are bad influence and we should never go drinking together.

I am also shopping for exhaust too.

Thinking of either 3D design or Eisen sports ... probably going to make up my mind in a couple of months time.

Come down to Captree Sunday morning. Take my car for a drive. You can hear my Meisterschaft, both with valves open and closed. Decide for yourself.

I can't this weekend, but thank you. Where is this located? Maybe another time we can plan something or do a meet up. I am an hour north of the city.

It has came to my attention that if you put the block off plates in you will not hear the turbo's spooling. Someone on the forum has claimed that WITH the block off plates he gained 30+HP. I tried it and noticed no significant gain and lost that sound that I personally enjoy.

Where is everyone buying the BMC filters from? If you are buying from vivid, do you really need to order 2, or is that note incorrect?

They should come as a pair. Ebay, their own site, Vivid...

Yes, I ordered from them and was confused by their site. Ended up buying 4 (2 per box) since it said 2 were needed, then they sent me an shipping label to return the extra's.

Only order 1 and you'll be covered...

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order your BMC filter set from?

You do get 2 filters at that price even though it says 2 needed...

I have been getting a orange check engine light that just stays on. It does not display any reason for it and performance is not limited. It goes away after a day or two, and then will come back on in a day or two. ????

I'm just living with it for now.

I hope the filters aren't oiling the MAF sensors. This was known to happen with reuseable, oiled air filters in the E39 M5 and was not covered under warranty.
