So is there a market for modifying the F10 m5 in the UK
Im slightly annoyed that whenever I want to do something ie modify my car, I typically have to purchase something from the US
The US has some great companies and products (IND especially!) but ultimately whenever something is purchase by me, there will be a large shipping cost and associated customs charges.. I appreciate the "moding scene" in the US is very different to the UK...Im not sure what our US friends think but having been in the UK modding scene ever since I started driving, over recent years it has definately declined and the notion of Boy Racer, Chav etc etc probably still stands to its detriment..The US scene does not feel like this to me at all. SO my question and I suppose this is to UK owners of the M5....Do you guys think that there is enough of a market on this side of the pond to warrant doing something about it?? |

Feel your pain, I really don't know of any where in the UK that offers BMW parts like IND does. I suppose if you think about the amount of US members to UK members it makes more sense as to why there aren't any UK sellers especially with the whole boy racer scene... Halfords

I know there is a tuner there that has supposedly crakced the ECU. I think they are called DMS. For physical parts i think you are stuck. Germany should have a good offering ?

+1 Got some excellent parts from iND but had to pay £103 in customs charges and around $75 for shipping.
I was thinking of using DMS for my remap. It's an expensive remap though. |

We definetly could do with the likes of Ind in the uk..brilliant service and good products but like mentioned previously market isn't big enough ..few odd companies like CA automotive and Muglari but unfortunately you pay a massive premium
If you want remapping DMS are definetly the route to take.. If interested pm me and I'll speak to them about competitive price |

I've used Roy at CA for parts on all my m cars and they are bang on. Tuning though I would imagine is a different matter, Evolve do some good things on other m cars but not the F10. I'll just order Dinan parts from the states early next year when the roads finally dry out lol

+1 on DMS they did a 330d and 335d for me previously, completely changed the cars!!
Also reinstalled for free after BMW upgraded the software at a service and wiped their map. |

Modding here seems to be for lower end cars IMO.

So have any of you UK boys tuned the F10 yet?
Mine is on order and expecting delivery of a comp pack car in Feb / March. Im adamant that this time i wont go the same route that i did with my E92 which resulted in a supercharger. |

M black front and side grills M carbon rear spoiler Challenge rear diffuser (centre section only) H&R springs Macht schnell spacers Supersprint 200 cell race cats (sounds decent with the comp pack exhaust and certainly added bhp) I'm planning on changing to kw full coilover in the summer and adding the Dinan air box and software when the weather gets better |
