Valvetronic Eccentric shaft motor

Anyone ever replace one, or have any info on this part? Having slight rough idle on cold starts, and this code keeps coming back. Car runs beautifully once its going and warm, just very slight rough idle. Just did all coils/plugs, and all 8 injectors and decouplers.

If u need to replace this I believe its head off or engine out (I could be wrong)

you need to check dme has valvetronic output
I believe bmw have test harness to check or some process

Thanks, my indy says engine has to be pulled down as the servo is on the side of the engine, no head out required just pain to get to.

He also did tell me to update the DME to latest software, test how the idle seems, then re-flash my tune, as he has concerns it could be that. My software version is currently around 3 versions behind the latest for the F10 platform. I will be looking for latest version of E-sys to update it. Hoping this resolves it.
