F10 M5 Brake Change At Home ?
Hi guys....
My front and rear brakes need doing on my M5 (2014) but BMW are closed and my go to garage is also closed, a guy up the road said he can do them but I thought it had to go to the professionals to go on a computer and something also to do with the rear brakes as electric parking brake. I would wait for a garage etc but use the car at the moment doing 210 miles per day ! Any advise would be more than welcomed. |

For the parking brake you just disconnect it and you can manually wind it back with a torx bit. Otherwise it's a regular old pad change. |

I was worried he would mess it up, I do over 200 miles a day 6 days a week in this lockdown and would wait but can't go past Thursday really. |

The fronts were easy... I did those in Dec. Rear has some extra steps, but the same as other f chassis’s. Watch this DIY.
It was easy just extra steps. Also you need a thin 16mm (15mm) open wrench to take off the caliper. |
