I'm heading to the track Thursday night with the car bone stock to establish a baseline. Never raced this car (2016 M5) so I plan on the following. Let me know if it should be anything different.
Everything in Sport+ MDM mode, not with Traction completely off. (?) D3 Mode BMS Stage1 arrives Friday, so I will install it and go back to the track the following week to measure the difference. Considered JB4 also and kicked around the idea of Catless Downpipes, but didn't want to spend crazy money on a lease. |

I have tried both sport+ and comfort and get less wheel spin using comfort. I haven't been back to the track since last year. want to see if I can beat my time.

Sport+ is great for road racing/track but not so much on the drag strip.

Went to the track tonight and only got 4 runs in because it was crowded.
2016 M5 Competition Package with NO mods. Will be adding a JB4 in a week or so. First 3 runs were in D3, comfort, Sport+ and the last I tried taking off in 2nd gear to eliminate wheel spin and ran slower 1st run 2.0977 - 60' 5.4073 - 330' 8.0431 - 1/8 94.46 - 1/8 MPH 10.2634 - 1000' 110.05 - 1000 MPH 12.1435 @ 118.76 2nd run 2.1167 - 60' 5.4584 - 330' 8.0971 - 1/8 94.26 - 1/8 MPH 10.3248 - 1000' 119.76 - 1000 MPH 12.2014 @ 121.95 3rd run 2.1968 - 60' 5.5049 - 330' 8.1304 - 1/8 94.64 - 1/8 MPH 10.3484 - 1000' 110.16 - 1000 MPH 12.2196 @ 122.18 4th run (started in 2nd gear) 2.3898 - 60' 5.7798 - 330' 8.4298 - 1/8 94.30 - 1/8 MPH 10.6527 - 1000' 109.28 - 1000 MPH 12.5439 @ 118.36 |

Yes, went a couple of times to strip.
My MPH went up by 9mph, I'm trapping 129 consistently which I'm impressed by. However, the main issue for me right now is lack of traction due to my tires (Pilot Super Sport). With a 2.1 60ft it's still doing 11.8 range. Gotta get a drag radial and go back ASAP. I know the car has a LOW 11 second pass in it if I can hook, hell, by the MPH it's currently doing it should be even quicker. We shall see; I'll def jeep you guys updated |
