BMW F Series Full OBD Flash Testing Completed - 12/8/2017 Release.

Everyone has been patiently waiting for years now for this to become a reality. I am happy to announce that it FINALLY is. Not in two weeks, or first quarter next year - right now. Removal of the DME(s), drilling, or opening them is now part of the past. We wanted to wait until the capability was completely tested on a number of F series cars, as well as on untouched and unopened ECU's on the bench before this announcement. I am happy to say that this is tested, in hand, and ready for end users at this moment.

As far as we know, we are the first to publicly offer this in an end user capability. BPM has tuned thousands of vehicles worldwide and is thrilled to offer this to all F series vehicles worldwide.

Capabilities for transmission flashing and other functions will follow, as well as support for other models that are currently not OBD flashable.

What does this mean?
This means that your F series car can be tuned to extract more horsepower and torque, on top of other features such as top speed limiter removal, redline raise, cold start removal, burbles, and any other type of tuning change you like.

For those that want to stick with factory programming, this means that competition package software and special software such as Jahre edition in non competition package vehicles. This means 600HP for M5's/M6's and GTS Software in M3/M4's. Note that this is for those that wish to retain a factory program - as most will elect for Stage I or Stage II tuning options that can bring your horsepower past 800HP depending on the model of your vehicle, modifications, and fuel used.

BMW F10/F11/F12/F13 M5, M6, 550, 535, 528, 2013 - 2017 (Including Alpina Models & GC)
BMW F80/F82/F83/F87 M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe, and M2, 2014-2018
BMW F15/F16/F85/F86 X5M and X6M, + all Non-M Models (V8 or I6)
BMW F01/F02 7 Series (2013-2016)
BMW F2x/F3x/F4x 2, 3, and 4 Series - All Models
(Not all supported models are listed)

Specifically not supported:
2017 MY Vehicles with Bxx Engine
2009-2012 5 and 7 Series Vehicle (N63 Motor)

How the process works:
1) After purchase, we ship your tuning cable.
2) You will be emailed a full color instruction manual.
3) After following the easy step by step instuctions, you will email us your stock software read from your car.
4) We will send you back your tuned software to your specifications.
5) Plug in, and follow the remainder of the manual to flash your vehicle. The process only takes ten minutes and opening the hood is not required
6) Enjoy!

When the cable is received, the stock software is read and saved from the vehicle.

I forgot to mention that only the first flash will take approximately 18 minutes from start to finish - subsequent flashes will only take about 2-3 min.

Others have posted that this ability is in beta testing - but to my knowledge we are the only company that has done this successfully to date in the US, and the only in the world with an end user solution ready immediately.

Congrats! I may need to sell some crypto to finance this. lol What is used for datalogging? I've had a couple of tuned cars in the past and could always do a couple of pulls and sanity check parameters. Also, any recommended SW to do realtime logging via an OBD BT Dongle? If so what dongle and SW?

Is there an extra charge for 2 maps? 1 stage 1 93 octane with a burble and one without?
How much for map upgrades if I get DP's?
Can I get the car dyno tuned buy another shop? (local to me?)
Can this cable also do programming? (fold up mirrors, tire pressure display etc) ..with correct software of course.

I realize this is all very very new and you are the first to offer it, so thank you! These questions will come eventually, might as well get them answered right away

Depending on when you got into Bitcoin, you might be getting a free tune

You can use any tool you like for datalogging. We use the factory tools in house but any datalogger should do the trick.

We can provide some extra maps for you - normally file changes are extra but we'll be more generous during the introductory period.

This cable does not support coding as it's not an Ethernet cable. You're welcome to have it dynoed - the tune has already been extensively tested

I will try to get a video tomorrow after the dyno.. Our burble doesn't sound like a machine gun and it's not abnoxious - not a fan of these types. It has character to it and is clearly there, but not overly done. Mainly you will get this on overrun at higher RPM's and downshifts into high RPM - I'll do my best to get a video up tomorrow.
