EBC red stuff is what the guys at ECS use on their personal cars. It's ceramic but embedded with kevlar. Same low dust but has the initial bite like oem pads. My buddy has them and loves them. They're what I'm going to use next change.

Quick update for you guys. had the pads on for about a week now with some hard core driving! No squeal and no dust! I was so surprised the second day i had them on i was messing around with my ferrari and lambo friends with high speed runs and hard stops and the wheels looked like i just washed them. If you rub your finger youll see a very light powdering but barely anything. As for the brake feel, the initial bite isnt as aggressive as stock but works just fine just a slightly different pedal feel. I cant believe i didnt do this on my F10 M5 before now im glad i did it on the F06!

I ended up getting powerstop z26. Can’t beat the price and good reviews. If you’re doing a search look for a 2013 m5.

Did you change the rotors as well or just the pads? How is the brake dust? Is it dramatically reduced like other brands mentioned here?

How is the initial bite?

I’ll be doing it tomorrow along with a line lock so I’ll write back. I’m just changing the pads no discs i have 24000mls. Do a search on google people have switched from carbontech to these. A lot of good reviews and they have carbon fiber in the material I’m sure not much but.

I've only had them on for a week. I plan on going to the track this weekend so I'll be putting them to the test. But so far I would say yes or pretty close. For everyday driving they're fine.

Nope as long as the rotors are not below minimum thickness. Just make sure you bed the brakes properly.
