You will love it, no doubt. It's phenomenal. My best bit in the top gear review is when they bring out the m1. To compare it to such a legend makes me cry with joy!

Most of the people complaining about the active sound in the cabin have never experienced it in person. I have driven the F10 M5 and I for one actually like it.

I think the active sound thing is just something ppl who want to find some fault with the new M5 rally around. It's an easy thing to pick on without ever experiencing it first. If this is the biggest complaint with the car, which seems like it is, then I'll be one happy m5 owner!

Just watched the review again Can't wait for a dry lap time from Stig.

Btw did anyone watch the entire episode? The 3 guys' reaction to their track racing day reminds me just how much of car enthusiasts they really are, even when they're driving around in jalopies.

+1 I know but people get sensitive about seemingly innocuous thing.

People do have high expectations and TBH I can see that given the $$$.
