Yes it was Sonax Polymer Netshield. It definitely amps up the Gloss on the Opticoat. I think you can also apply carnuba wax or Permanon Platinum to Opticoat.

After color correction and before Opticoat application be sure that the detailer goes over your car with you using proper lighting to ensure there are no swirl marks or light scratches.
I failed to examine my car (BSM) after color correction and now I'm left with some swirl marks and light scratches on areas of the hood and trunk lid. My detailer came to me and did the work in my driveway. I would suggest that this type of job should only be performed in a shop using proper lighting. For $625 I would expect perfection, particularly on a brand new M5. I have yet to wash my car since application so I can't comment on much more. I will say that the surface feels more tacky (vs after a nice waxing) and seems to attract more dust. |
