it has all the options for the M5 (except the frozen paint schemes) that you can chose from a drop down. You can select which options you want, and it will configure your car, estimate your tax, and your monthly payment. It ONLY works for financing. I have never leased the car and don't intend to, so did not build that in. Feel free to edit and post if someone does that. It also accounts for your trade-in and tax credit from trade-in (you don't pay tax on value of trade-in if you apply it towards your purchase in certain states, NJ including)

You can also plug in the discount for each option, and calculate the discounted price of the car. Feel free to tweak your discount numbers based on your own estimate / knowledge. Sheet will create pricing for both 2014 and 2015 for list and discounted, as well as monthly payments. have fun!

nice one! works perfectly in gDocs as well!
Good to know it works on GDocs!

Not sure where you got your numbers from for the spreadsheet, but working a deal from MSRP discount is wrong method. I would have started negotiation as it relates to the invoice price.

This is for 2015 M5 ED Delivery Invoice for some of the options I selected
  • 155G M5 Sedan USD 80,130.00
  • ZCP Competition Package 6,645.00
  • ZDB Driver Assistance Plus 1,730.00
  • ZEC Executive Package 5,825.00
  • 6FH Rear-seat entertainment Professional 2,000.00
  • 6UK Night Vision with Pedestrian Detection 2,095.00

Yeah they are from my SA when I built out my car. ED Invoice to US MSRP is about ~14%, US Invoice to US MSRP ~7%

The discount in my sheet is an input that should be adjusted based on your own views and discussion with dealers. The discounts you mentioned are 8% off ED MSRP and 9% off all options. This is in line with my conversation with a couple of dealers. Most others balked.

I did it off MSRP since that's how I was quoted. Either way is fine.

Also, just a quick clarification, when negotiating an ED deal, we start from the ED invoice, as opposed to the standard invoice and subtracting the ED discount? (Base model - assume no options for simplicity)

OPTION A:
$80,130 (ED invoice) + $500 (for the dealer) = $80,630 + tax

OPTION B
$85,470 (standard invoice) + $500 (for the dealer) - $6,500 (ED discount) = $79,470 + tax

Is Option B simply unattainable due to the actual ED invoice? Its only $1,100, but its my $1,100...
