How to open M5´s ECU

Hello

My Tuner said he can tune my M5´s ECU , the problem it´s opening IT.

if it was a M3 or M4 , the ECU its easy to open , in case of M5/6 , it has a lot of glue , and its kinda hard to remove , its risky to damage the ECU.

Anybody has a special formula to open ?

Hello Rafael,

We put the ecu in a special oven to open them, it’s the same way they do it in the Bosch factory and we never had any problem.

The M5 DME has been said to be one of the hardest to open, that's all I know. But somehow they do open it and the Method Your tuner describes could be the correct one. You should ask one of the tuners that has posted here or on the F8x forums (probably by PM because they don't want to share their methods in the public domain it seems)
