2014 M5 Comp Pkg Pricing Advice
Hello M5 folks and experts,
I recently am shopping for 2014 M5 CPO in Bay Area, CA and the asking is $65,988. Here is the car details: 1. Space Gray Metallic with black interior. 2. Current mileage: 17,000 miles. 3. New car warranty til 7/15/2018 and 2 more years of CPO after that. 4. Options: a) ZCP - Comp pkg b) ZDB - Driver assistance plus c) ZEC - Executive pkg d) ZLP - Lighting pkg e) Z06 - Black kidnay grilles Original MSRP - $112,160 Edmunds CPO price is $62,150 KBB CPO price is $67,104 I read another thread saying that 2014 used/CPO (forgot which one) shouldn't sell more than $60K even for low mileage car according to used car index/report as the new M5 is around the corner. Any advice? Will P.S. I haven't checked the car in person yet, but want to get a feel on the pricing before going into negotiation if the car indeed is a good one. |

My M5 came off lease in December and had all the options you listed. Actually, your MSRP makes me think it had the upgraded sound system as my MSRP was around $107k.
Anyway, my dealership listed it for $58k. It sold pretty quickly. 20,000 miles on it.

Bought my 17k mile 2014 Comp/Fully Loaded Space Grey with 17k miles for $63.5k from off this forum, plus $1500 to ship across the country. I paid the extra few grand because I wanted the CCB, and liked that it had some light mods. I'd say $65k if it had CCB would be fair, otherwise $60k is a good deal. Once you drive it and fall In love, you'll know how much you want to pay for it

Thanks folks..
Just went to check out the car in person before the car was ready for viewing. The entire front bumper and right front fender may need repaint and/or replacement.. and may wheel curb rash. Interior's steering wheel leather seems faded quite a bit and sticky. Dealer said they can repair... hmmm... This is my 1st try on M5. The car is extremely planted and got to 80 mph effortlessly. The suspension at Comfort mode is quite firm as expected. I guess I will keep looking. Last edited by wilbmw; 07-08-2017 at 07:08 PM.. Reason: add attachment |

Hi folks, any opinions on the CPO and non-CPO 2014 M5 without competition package, but with executive and driver assistance plus package.
Tested a non-CPO Alpine white M5 last Fri without CP with 23K miles on the clock. It rides quite well in comfort mode and I like it alot. The interior condition is in quite decent and clean shape, but front and rear bumper have quite a few penny size paint chip and rear passenger side rear door has few minor scratches. The non-CPO is quite concerning and I suspect it was due to late 1st maintenance service that was done in ~15,000 miles and 2 years since car delivery. Last edited by wilbmw; 07-08-2017 at 07:17 PM.. If it were me, I would look for one with the updated LED headlights & CPO... should be plenty of inventory out there. I had mine shipped from CA to NC to get the exact options, color & warranty I wanted....

My recommendation would be to get at least a 2014 LCI Competition with CPO. As for the other options, figure out which ones are must have and which are nice to have and go from there.
Even if you need to pay a little more to get the perfect M5 for you (right color combo, right options), you won't regret it. You will regret buying a lesser car than what you wanted just to save a dime...

how has it been "abused"? I'd go after that one, as long as carfax is clean, you can use the damage as leverage to lower the price. and no the fender, or bumper does NOT need to be replaced. Simple repair really. |
