Lumbar support

It has taken me quite some time to play around the different seat adjustments, but I'm still struggling with the lumbar support. I can't seem to 'deflate' the lumbar support completely. No matter what I do, it still sticks out too much that makes my back uncomfortable. Anything can be done about that ?

Hi MCM5

Totally agree my car is perfect except for the seat, I have the same issue, I was instantly comfortable in my m3, and never got the comfort seat right in the 545 I had 5 years ago.

Try putting the seat back more upright and the bottom flatter and don't touch the fold in half back rest! I am sure it makes it worse, it's weird because everyone loves these seats..

Cheers stu

you have to either press down all the way or back all the way on the lumber button. and hold it down, and keep holding it down for like maybe 10 seconds. thats all you can do i think.

these seats are the most comfortable ive ever sat in.

I don't have an M5 but in other BMWs I've found the need to raise it a bit before deflating and to press into it with your back a bit while holding the button.

Yes, you have to push your back into the lumbar area and hold in the lumbar button, the button that is towards the back of the car (button on right if looking at buttons) hold in for as long as possible while trying to jam your back and butt into that part of he seat to help it deflate

Have a 535 and m5, both 2011 and I do this in both. I'm a shorty (5'8) so I have to play these butt mashing into the seat games to put enough weight on helping it deflate

It works try it!!
