Track/drag with spacers... is it safe?

For those that run spacers (Macht Schnell or H&R) and track or drag their cars, do you take them off before those events?

I'm just wondering how safe they are on under the stresses of track or drag.

As long as you're using the proper length bolts, you're fine. I run spacers on my track car with no issues.

For Drag I take them off, but it's only because I am paranoid.

Spacers increase track width and so would positively affect track performance in most scenarios.

I've felt they've improved handling on the track. I switched to studs, as I feel they give me more security and makes wheel swaps infinitely easier.

They're harder on your bearings and after many track days (read dedicated race car) sometimes you'll start seeing wear on the bolts. The key is making sure the spacer and the wheel hub match and you have enough meat on the bolts.

As long as you have a long enough bolt (or stud) to adequately engage the threads, minimum 7 turns, then you're fine.

As noted, loads on wheel bearings are magnified but rarely enough to be of great significance.
