Monte Carlo and M5...does it get any better? RE: the HUD, check to see you didn't just hit the button by accident...it is on the dash below the headlamp control.

HUD Error shows up. They are checking it out at the dealer.
I will be only doing ED for my cars moving forward. This is really great. I love it. Worth every penny.

Amazing photo man I can see why everyone recommends you do ED if purchasing a new vehicle. Is that a Porsche or lambo in the back?

Yes when I accidentally pressed the button just left of the steering wheel that turns off HUD.

Everything fixed. I was told it was a fuse....weird. Now sitting in a hotel on Nurburgring. The track will not be opened to public because of the preparations for the 24 hour race. I was a little bummed, but the fact that I am actually here, my hotel balcony overlooks the last corner and the straight away, and last night we ran into Sabine at a local race bar makes it all better. Pictures to come. I did manage to spend 200 Euros at a local gift shop. Crazy pricing.

Forgot to mention I hit 170mph on the autobahn and a x6 50i stayed back behind me, but passed me on a turn. It rained earlier and I guess he was more ballsy in the turns and I am not fully familiar with the car yet. I think car his cut off at 160 or 165. The car is very stable at those speeds, but I wish the brakes were a little better cooled.

You hit 170mph? Your HUD displayed 170mph? I ask because my HUD displayed 162mph while running north from Austria back to Munich and that's the displayed speed when I felt the limiter stop my acceleration. Everything I've read says our cars are factory limited to 155mph. If so, then my speedo if off and yours is even further off. Thoughts?

Nice pictures...post some more when you get back!!

Did you do the ED trip scheduling yourself (I.E. reserving all of the hotels yourself, or did you hire an agent and/or get a package)?

We rented a portable navigation unit with European maps so I can use the USB connection for my ipod. I did several pulls and Garmin unit showed 170.2, my speedo was over 170. We recorded several videos, but the quality is poor and cant see the detail. I was shocked as well because I was expecting to get cut off around 160. I spoke with Sabine Schmitz at the bar who we ran into by accident and she said that Merc, Audi and BMW have an informal agreement in regards to the top speed limiters, but they all have been cheating for the last 5 years.

Will do.

I was referred to a BMW agent and they charged me 50 bux, but they also booked us in most beautiful hotels and locations and every Hotel got an info that we were BMW VIP clients and got little perks everywhere, like free breakfasts, discounts on hotels, champagne and wine in the room, and open bars, discounts for food. Genoa hotel was by far the best in a presidential suite with 7 different rooms, 2 bathrooms on the top floor and bunch of appetizers, champagne and personal concierge.

I will send you all the info upon my return. Will be using those guys from now on. I just sent them the route that I wanted to go with and they booked all the hotels.

Couple cool pics from Monte Carlo and Lyon.

Question. Do you guys wash your cars before you drop them off for shipping?
If so, any car wash places around Hotel Kempinski in Munich?

Thanks
