New 4-door king of the Ring.... and it’s a Jag?!
Very impressive run by the Jaguar XE SV Project 8. New production sedan king of the Nurburgring with a 11-second margin over the previous king, the Giulia QV.

I have already driven a XE S 3.0 Supercharged. I gotta say eventhough it is a car to be compared to the M340i and not the M3 F80, I preferred its handling to that of the M3/M4. Very predictable and fun to drive at the limit. If they kept that balance with retweaks for the extra power it sure as hell is a very fun and fast car, which will take plenty of time to beat this lap (although there has been some controversy regarding if the car was on slicks or not). Jaguars have improved tremendously on chassis for their sedans. It is a pity that in the F-Type they still haven't got to this level of adjustment in the chassis.

This is special version to show what Jag can do, that is why there are so few being made, and the price tag is obnoxious and stupid. If this is a glimpse of what future XE and XF SVR models will be able to achieve, I can only say bring it on. Although I have to say the F-Type although great can not hold a candle to the 911 or the AMG GT (contrary to what Jaguar promised)

This is a direct competitor of the M5 based upon the specs. However at that price point it places it approx 70k above the base price of a M5. Not a great value, even given it's a limited production model.
