I have to say that the Tesla really had little to no appeal to me until last week. I went to test drive one for my wife. She works 25 miles from the house but needs AWD for the NE winters. I was home for the day and a bit bored, so I decided to go test drive the Tesla.

I have to say I was very impressed. Power is amazing as is the handling. The Autopilot is very impressive and works amazingly well - as does most of the tech in the car. I still hate the interior and the lack of "voice" so this could never by my DD, but it is a very strong candidate for the wife's car.

I agree. I like the company a lot and what it's doing, but it really needs to up its game in terms of luxury and refinement. The interiors are a joke compared to other cars it competes with in it's segment, but I guess the rich person who has driven a Toyota Prius for years cares little about a Full Nappa Leather dashboard when they hop in the Tesla. Lol!

Actually, the one I drove had a full leather dash - but it also had what looked like a supersized iPad.
