2016 M5
Hey guys. Saw this near me. It's absolutely beautiful with the colors and options I'm looking for in an M5. However, with nearly 60,000 miles on it, what should I be worried about? I know I should get a PPI and I will if the consensus is that this is a worthy purchase. I just don't want to purchase something and then have the transmission or engine blow up on me leading to thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Should I find something with lower miles?

Great color combo, check for service records, hopefully they did oil changes more regularly than is recommended from BMW. You could find lower mileage but you would probably pay more. Has comp package but not full leather it looks like, nice car

At a minimum the front has been repainted. Go to the picture of the BMW roundel...you'll see a crisp line where they taped around the BMW roundel....question to ask is how much has been repainted

Stunning car for sure, whoever took the pictures did a great job capturing the right lighting and angles.
Defiantly get the PPI and extended warranty. With 60k miles, record you the clutches to need changing out soon. It's wear and tear. I've seen them go out as early as 50k and as high as 100k. All depends how it was driven.

Thanks for all the info and making me feel more at ease about pursuing this car. Fast400, you have some really good eye for detail there! I will get the PPI and hope for the best!

Beautiful color combo, MCB and Silverstone 2 leather. I have a Frozen Blue LCI M5 with the same interior color, full leather package. Go for it, my M5 is higher mileage as well and runs like a champ. Do the PPI and have a close look at the service records, especially regular oil changes. Good luck with the purchase, amazing car 👍🏻

I agree that it looks like the front bar may have been painted. Worth further investigation - may have just been a minor scrape/bump repaired, or may have been something more serious.
The front brake disks also look fairly cooked. Not cheap components so worth checking how much life is left in them and/or negotiating new OEM disks as part of the deal. |

The clear line around the rondell also look like they could be a clear bra on the car.
If thats not the case then make sure you find out why its been repainted. If its only slight damage from an animal or parking incident thats been fixed then fine.... Otherwise hold off for a lower mileage no-damage car.... if you have the patience.
