I'd rather get lightly driven, low milage versions... Engine internals must be rusted in those "new" cars.

Yeah unless one plan on collecting it, if planning on driving it, might as well get used ones, those are all below 50k.

People are paying more than double for Porsche GT3 RSs and RRP+40% for Porsche GT4s. Fools and their money are easily parted. Tells you something about the value of money these days. Exactly what happens when Governments print literally tons of the stuff and charge clients for keeping it in banks.

Well 15 years ago I passed up a 964 Porsche Turbo flat nose for about 170k, at the time I thought it was a crazy price. Jerry Seinfeld just recently sold his for a cool million.

Though I don't think the same will happen to this M5....

I tend to agree this is probably not the car to drop $150k on, unless you plan on shrink wrapping it for 30 years. I think they made ~20k of the E39 M5? $150k can get you a lot these days. Oh, and let's not forget we're all driving $100k+ cars right now.
