Charcoal delete and K&N drop-ins if it’s strictly performance based; best bang for your buck.

I did K&N and charcoal delete. In my opinion, it’s hard to justify $2-3k for something that may, or may not adds any ponies.

RK Autowerks made of solid beautiful carbon fiber and I gained 20whp on the dyno just from the intakes.

Stock dyno 519whp after I installed intakes 539whp on same dyno with same 90 degree weather

A good verifiable test between charcoal delete + drop ins vs. CAI is needed.

MSR best in the business!I’ve had mine for 4 years and 100,000 miles in my car fully moded. At the time I had jb3 3.5 Ib boost, full eisenmann exhaust oem DP,RPI scoops,BMS upgraded filters. Before MSR Intake my 1/4 mile ri s average was 12.1-12.2 119-120 mph and best 12.0@120 mph. After I installed MSR intake I went back to the track even though he told me to wait two weeks I still ran best 11.7@121 mph. Then I went back the following week and ran average 11.6-127@124-125 mph and best 11.5 @125 mph. This intake sounds amazing and outperforms any intake out there I’ve ran against

Money for performance wise it's not worth it. Best bang for buck is stock with K&N or BMC filters and charcoal delete.

Or BMS for some added noise.

Charcoal delete + K&N drop-in on stock box. Spend $100... proven capable to support > 1000hp

I did this, BMC dropin filters/charcoal delete, then RK intakes.
Same dyno, about same ambient temps, different days....gained ~20whp above 5k rpm. Is that worth it for the $$?....people can decide....

Interesting - I tried the same... didn't gain anything on a 3-run average (10 mins apart)

I have been setting up clients with this setup : Charcoal filter removed / BMC filter / RPI scoops. Continuous data logging and various setup's of performance upgrades this has been a proven setup and the comments on here supports that.

Dinan is a nice setup being that will direct air from the front kidney grilles and keep the lower OEM box to bring in air as well.
This should yield better gains over stock being that the box can receive more air flow.

I recently installed my first intake setup from RK Tunes, I will be data logging to see what gains will come from their setup which places the filters directly behind the kidney grilles.

I'll be posting my findings as I get both setups rolling

I'd be interested to see a nice write up of comparison of different intakes being used on the same car and the same dyno.
That will never happen I'm sure.

Red line is with drop in filter/charcoal delete/ AFE scoops, done on a prior different day.
