Accidentally posted this over in the General forum first.
George really hit a home run with the night vision application. The fit is perfect and results are very impressive. I ordered a M6 and M5 NV intake and was a little baffled by the M6 came in fully brushed as requested, but the M5 NV was brushed up top and black wrinkle powder coated inside the grille. George pointed out the very distinct black eye the car would have had with a fully exposed brushed right intake and a half-hidden by the NV left intake. He nailed the look and performance. The only tip I would add to future installers is to hand form the worm clamp connecting the oval tube into an oval shape in order to preload the silicone elbow into the oval shape during insertion. That and the Black Magic make it a pretty painless job. Thanks George! |

Just set up an appointment on Tuesday to get a baseline so I may wait to install until after that...hopefully I can wait! Would definitely give it time to adapt (per your adaptation instructions) prior to going back for the second dyno session. So far my only 'mod' is charcoal filter delete.

Here's a dyno a customer sent me from Miami a couple months ago. I told him the intake needed at least two weeks for adaptation but he still decided to just do a base dyno run, install and redyno the same day.
The first dyno run was before intake earlier that day then they installed the intake and the second dyno was the results. Not bad for back to back same day before and after intake. Also you can see the gains across the midrange compared to peak power and don't forget the gains will be even more on the street do to its unconventional design. As you increase mph on the street the more power it makes. Proven by vbox and track. vbox showed .5 seconds faster after a couple weeks of adaptation on completely stock M5. On another M5 that was fully modded with upgraded intake, after MSR intake install and two weeks of adaptation it knocked off .5/.6 seconds and gained 4-5 mph in the 1/4 mile. hope this helps |
