Here is the video where you run off and leave Gunder. Thanks to underground911 for the video.

Dinan has a fix. They have a block off plate kit that needs to be installed to correct the issue

A BMS kit installed and not having time to "fully" adapt is still faster then a bone stock (S63T)
I installed another BMS yesterday and ran against another friends stock F10 M5. Pulled hard on him.
Maybe something else is wrong to create that result ?

As I have mentioned above. There is not a fix for my cel issue. I have been working directly with Dinan in Morgan Hill for a fix. This only applies to CP cars. There has not been any known issue for non cps.

The team is working hard on a fix. The issue is with the air intake and not the tune. I am confident they will have a fix soon.

This is not the same issue as the block of plates.

I only reporting what Gunder said to me. Who can beat who w what they have on their car any given day is of no consequence to me. I'm here to have fun. I'll run you in a green machine. Going down hill of course. Lol perhaps Gunder timing was off and he applied the brake instead of the gas peddle.

Ok. I spoke with Dan @ Dinan the other day in regards to that and they didn't mention CP or non cp cars. That's only why I made that statement again.
Seems like your on top of it.

Sounds like Dinan is getting the bugs worked out. Would you guys be happy with the stage 1 Dinan or does it make more sense to get stage 2 in my case? I have two and one half years left on my lease.

Its a simple fix and I hear has resolved all issues present.
BMS suspects the hole was added to later models to improve airflow in to the factory airbox. Their flow testing showed the restriction being the primary air inlet and the extra hole/air horn raising that flow ceiling significantly. Blocking off the holes will restrict airflow and may lower higher RPM power levels. Bad idea in my opinion.

Thanks. It's worth a shot to try it with the hole open.

FWIW BMS found in order to avoid MAF codes caused by turbulence you had to keep the factory air horns installed in the hole.

The price difference from stage 1 and 2 is very minimal.
I believe its about $300 or so. The HP to $$ ratio is in the favor of upgrading to stage 2.
I have stage 2 and it is an improvement from stage 1

Good info
I think and I may be wrong, the codes are being set from the Dinan air boxes in correlation with the Dinan software.
Their stage 2 requires aftermarket intakes. So I think that the issue is in regards to the product they made.
I don't have an issue so I am very curious to who has the problem and how it is being resolved.

Anyone Hear anything from Dinan yet on the MAF CEL?

I just had the stage 2 and CAI installed. I DO NOT have the CP and I am getting the code.

The code is related to the CAI. There is a CP equipped M5 that has been at my dealership with the same mods and has the same issues. He went back to the factory air box and has had no problems since. This is also not related to the "plugs" in the bottom of the box.

I will admit I am a little disappointed as I called Dinan last week and haven't heard back.

Thanks for the update Spinny02! I called the Dinan folks again today and got a call back. They mentioned a CP equipped M5 in TX. Must have been you. It seems they are working diligently on the issue and hope to have a resolution soon. Of course they won't commit to any time frame (understandably) but said in few weeks they hope to have it resolved. There are not too many of us Dinan f10's out there. From what he told me there are only 3 of us experiencing this problem.

Keep me posted please!
