I was in Monaco last weekend (for the Top Marques show) and the amount of cars with matte/frozen colours actually made it uncool. Partly because the number of cars but partly also because it was on every kind of vehicle from scooters, Smart cars, delivery vans, supercars, M5 etc... Proving that to much of the same on every other vehicle isn't good! Choosing chrome trim is now actually a way of standing out from the crowd of similar looking BMW's with black on black or black trim. Chrome is coming back! |

guys, guys, guys!
As far as I know, all beemer's in UAE, Qatar, Dubai etc have the chrome accents not because of their owners tasteless choice, but because there's something called GULF SPEC for those countries, and that spec includes EVERY SINGLE option as standard, maybe without CCB's. |

Villagio Mall. I've parked in that exact same spot before
While I love Atacama Yellow, I probably wouldn't have chosen that color on a luxury saloon. That said, nothing shows off a car's lines better than that color.

I think it looks great all around with the stock chrome pieces keeping the car "factory" unique. I could do without the chrome window surrounds but the other bits look fine. I may be the only one that thinks the M5 color options are terrible. No true black, no true silver (and titanium silver is bland anyway, bmw should look at MB's heavy metallic silver choices for some inspiration), and certainly nothing that really pops. The M5 colors are great choices for 60-year old men but suck for 30- and 40-somethings.... that's why we all picked AW It's the only "young" color of the bunch.

This car is fantastic, the yellow really shows the lines of the car. I think that the M5 doesn't have enough cosmetic differences to the general public to distinguish the car. I don't think it visually looks as expensive as it is, and this color does a lot to fix that problem.
