None at all, I've had this set up on both my M5 and my M6 for over a year driving them in any weather, hand jet car washes weakly as well as any weather storms. Middlyman and DCT can vouche on this, we drove a 7-8 hour drive pouring rain from SC to OCALA Florida for a half mile event at 70-80 MPH the whole way. No issues as well as a smooth ride.

In the mean time I have a prefilter cover specifically made for these filters that are water repellent with good filtration that suppose to have no impact on performance. I'm still waiting to receive them since they were a special order for my custom size. I offer these to give some more options and confidence to those who have a concern about it. As for performance, when they come in I will test them to see is it effects performance. Either way you wil have an option to cover them up if you like.

if you mod both your exhaust and intake, you can hardly hear your intake sound.
if you are looking for performance and design, highly recommend ARMA, because that's me~

I gaurantee your intake will not sound as good and perform as well! The Dinan intake and catless DP together won't get the power my intake makes and I gaurantee no other will either and that's me! Lol you can go full straight through exhaust and you still will hear my intake and even with more mods will make more power, proven from every kind of test.... Thanks!

Fully modified with intake, I believe you can hear that pretty good, soooo good gives you goose bumps!

Sounds like your intake was designed for stock exhaust only, because I am running full Eisenmann Exhaust System 4x102mm race which is loud and MSR intake,You can still the sound of the intake not to mention performance gain.

Not true! I have catless DPS, full Akra exhaust with MSR Intake and you can hear the intake very clearly.

Yeah I was there in Ocala on Saturday, saw the M5 with your intake on it

If you wanna make a M5 look slow just goto one of these half mile events, that black Lambo doing 233 was unreal!

With the Magnuson Moss law they have to prove that the air intake is the cause of issue to void your warranty. If you really want to hear more of the turbos, I suggest getting the Meisterschaft exhaust, or just downpipes.

In regards to the topic, the top two air intakes I would recommend are:

AFE ($1600 MSRP)

Gruppe M ($3300 MSRP)

With the exception of a set of K&N panel filters (K&N 33-2488, $87 Amazon Prime) my '15 M5 is stock (so far). I've done the GruppeMs, Dinans, and AFEs in my previous cars and personally just don't think its worth it to spend so much. I've noticed quite a bit more pep from the panels (compared to stock) and can hear a lot more of the internals as well. Personally, I'll probably add a tune and a muffler for a bit more pep and sound and leave it at that. You can go crazy adding options and spending cash but at the end of the day all of that can be saved and put into a newer or better car. Again, very subjective. Hope this helps...

I have two customers who had Gruppe M and swapped out for my intakes and noticed gains immediately and after adaptation even more. The design of my intake is unconventional and that's why it makes so much power. Proven to knock .5 seconds vbox 60-130 mph and knock off .4-.5 seconds and gain 4-5 mph in the 1/4 mile no other intake can do that.

One customer I raced him at te track in my stock F10 M5 with only my intake. He had BMS 3.5 lb OEM cats, factory intake with BMS filters, charcoal filter delete, RPI scoops, Emid section and turner muffler delete.

His average run was 12.1-12.2 @ 119/120 mph and a best 12.0 120 mph. I ran 12.0 12.1 @ 119 mph and best 11.9 @ 119 mph we had identical 60fts. After that he wanted the intake.

As I installed it he noticed a big improvemnent as soon as he left but I told him it needed at least a week to two weeks to fully adapt do to the way the air comes in. He went to the track the next couple of days and ran 11.7 @ 121 mph. I told him it needed at least another week so he went the following week and ran 11.5-11.6 @ 124-125 mph. Since then I raised his boost from 3.5 to 4.0 and he ran average 11.4 @ 125-126 mph.

I guarantee you won't find another intake make power like this or even sound as good. Everything was designed around maintenance accessible without having to take out, long term durability, CNC cut flanges and velocity stacks, and special made pipes with special made transistoons to keep hoses and clamps to a minimum. Very clean and easy to maintain.

Here's a quote from one of my customers from Canada

"George,

I finally unpacked your intake last night. Very nice man, I am a fabricator too, but on an industrial scale so I can relate to what you had to go through to bring this to market. I can see lots of precision."

This should bring some light to the intake, it's not a high volume plastic product with some flashy carbon pieces. It's hand made to order, everything is CNCed and made as as soon as someone is ready to have it. Velocity stacks are made to each model do to their different front ends.

So far A customer of mine that has M6 night vision let me know that my nightvision set up works perfectly. Have another night vision going out Friday for F10 M5 so we see if it will work. I didnt want to send it out till I tested it myself but he wanted it no matter what so we see how it goes.

Good luck

For the exhaust what would be the best for no drone? I know Akra is great but its so expensive.

Any feedback would be awesome!

Thanks
I really enjoy my BMW MPE/AKRA ... Sounds great!

The Noelle downpipes were $4500 new and the CAI was $3k. I will sell the pair for $4k. PM me if you are interested. I can send you pictures. The downpipes have 400 cell HJS cats in them and are Boysen with the BMW rondel on them. There are pictures of them in this thread.
