One more European tuner announcing that Fxx gen BMW's now can be tuned via OBD/software flash and not piggyback (only offering diesel versions as of now):

Who are BR performance? Where are they from? How much are they charging? Is it a true tuning or just adjusting boost again like the rest?

Well, here's my first post!
I happen to live in Belgium, just a few miles away from BR-performance. Yes, it's true they can tune the fXX petrol models now They were the first here to crack the diesel models allso How they do it, you can read on their website (they remove the ecu and connect it to a supercomputer, or something like that...) It's certainly not an external module! I'm planning on getting my car tuned there soon ps: this includes speed limiter removal and CEL removal greets. |

They give a 100% warranty on their tuning stage, thats why stage1 is a limited increase in HP.
If you ask them, they can go higher, but exhaust gas temp will rise to much to consider it fully reliable, then it's at your own risk. adding a catless downpipe will reduce risk of temp going to high. |

My car is also in at BR performance. I should expect it back early next week with a fully custom tune based on my cars mods.

I spoke to ESS Tuning and AMS yesterday. Both indicate they will be able to unlock the ECUs with a bench flash and undertake a remap in the new year.
