As for P Zeros, theyre an extremely soft tire, had them on my C63 and many people would rip through the rears in 3-4k miles. From what Ive heard regarding PSS tires, youre getting 3 to 4 times the wear out of them, obviously YMMV based on how u drive.

Never understood people who spend 100k on a car and then cheap out on (literally) where the rubber meets the road. Buy quality tires

Fair enough and nice situation to be in!
My post actually should have focused on the massive HP/Torque of the engine instead of the cost of the car (which is irrelevant). I see a lot of E60 M5s around town now with completely crap tires. That car is a relative bargain these days, but that doesn't mean you should cheap out on the tires.

P Zero is junk. Look at how Pirelli's F1 tires fall apart after 5 laps. They would have to pay me to run P Zeros on the M5.

The Pzeros actually are wearing very well and after ~500mls and higher outside temps (+50) now provide much improved grip. When I had them mounted initially grip was terrible (also drove them in <40F temps) . However I'll still switch to Michelin PSS once I get my 305s / 20 from Canada (size not sold in the US) as they look a little more aggressive than the Pzeros
