Down pipes question

Is there a big difference in sound between 200 cel high flow cats and no cats? Anyone hear both?

Also do high low cats throw a cel code?

You'll get a cel unless you flash your DMEs

Get Catless DPs and JB4 Beta. 200 Cell will throw CEL, might as well go catless for max gains/sound.

Both will likely throw a fault which can be solved with a proper flash tune. The Catless will be a little louder but not a whole lot - the sound will be mainly dictated by the rear section.

Catless and 200 cell high flow with throw codes, so a proper refresh is a must. 200cell will smell "better, absorb a lot of rasp/rattle but will not last a long time, especially on a stage 2 reflash. Carles will not get damaged over time and provide maximum gains But will have rattle/rasp at low/mid rims during turbo spool.

If you do decide to go with any downpipe, you also need to consider smog. Just a plain reflash that gets rid of CEL does nothing for readiness monitors. On other hand, our stage 1 and stage 2 refreshes offer readiness monitor force enabling. That means you should not have issues passing the new plug-in smog.

Performance and sound will be better cattless, but are you prepared to rattle around town?

Waste gates will rattle like crazy, be prepared.

Embarrassing as hell, especially in Valet when they start it and it just rattles..

Not every car will have the rattle, but its a good 80% according to all the shops.

I had my downpipes re done at 5 different shops all with same result ( new gaskets each time) same rattle its annoying.

NO remedy.
F10M5Manual did a good video showing the wastegates rattling.

I've read about the rattling on the x35i series boards. Anyone adjust the preload on their wastegates to solve it? Search YouTube for "adjust wastegate rattle" and there are countless videos.

Yeah I've noticed every car is different for sure and also depends on you setup. Some exhaust systems resonate the noise more than others

What is it about the stock downpipes that limits waste gate rattles? I mean, you're just changing out a pipe. Is it the increased noise/vibrations from cat less dp? Would a flex section help to decrease the rattling?

I'm looking at the agency power cat less dp with in line resonator and flex section. Can anyone comment or review this particular dp?

Keep in mind Agency Power have discontinued their catless DP. They only offer catted option now.

We have 2 catless AP downpipes left in stock

The honeycomb baffles the rattle so it doesn't echo through 12' of exhaust piping.
