M5/6 Jb4+BCM question

2013 Bmw M6+ JB4/BCM with Blue tooth reader
Resonator delete
K&N air filters

Just driving and out of nowhere car feels slow!!! I check the Bluetooth app and car boost is 9psi.

Car feels sluggish so I shut it down and start it back up. I then try to connect back to the Bluetooth reader and nothing! Won't connect no matter what I do (Reinstall, disconnect/connect, unplug etc)

In short, car is driving slower then stock with No check engine light and feels weird.

What could issue be?

What exhaust? Check your hoses. You will loose boost if those are loose.

If that's not the issue I would remove the JB4 and revert back to stock. Just reconnect the stock connectors and test.

Try direct with USB or remove the Bluetooth all together and see if things are restored. I've seen a faulty BT cause issues with the board

Hey, just tried logging and got it.

2nd gear only does 18psi and 3rd ear only 12 psi
And 4th gear is just dead!

This is same on any map I run it on.

All else looks normal with car scanner showing no issues and under hoood all normal

If you have no exhaust valves check those hoses. It's an easy fix.

Have you switch to map 0? I would definitely revert back to stock and see if the issue is the JB4 or the car itself

Yup put it on Map 0 and still

1-2 gear I have boost and power is decent but not full potential.
3rd gear is only 12 psi based on logs and feels slow as shit

Post a map 4 log (3rd and 4th) and a Map 2 or 3 as well. Need to determine if you are losing boost or the DME is just not targeting.

I've asked twice already ... LOL

OP!!!! Check your valve hose lines. It's will cause the same symptoms. It's a simple fix if that's be case.

Weird thing is boost is 12psi and then at 6krpm it shoots to 20psi!

Very very weird!

Ran some logs.. Who can I send to look into it. I'm a Jb4 log Noob!

You should post JB4 logs to BMS's support forum on n54tech for tuning advice and troubleshooting.

BMS sells the Bluetooth adapter that connects to the JB4 as well as an app that you can download from google store or Apple

Anyone ever discuss replacing spark plugs and/or coils? How often should this be done?

Not totally unrelated as JB4 may cause more wear on these two items (among othet parts) than if left stock

Terry w/ BMS is very responsive. Or you can go direct to Jon at BMS (jon@burgertuning.com )

I do it every 10K or more frequently if I use some additive. Haven't done coil yet but do an inspection when you swap the plugs and change if needed. Takes like 40 mins to do it so its a DIY.

Is there a write up somewhere on changing those plugs? Always been curious

Thanks

Did you do the plugs yourself? If so, a write up would be appreciated.

So the car pulls normal--were vacuum lines sealed??
