335D

Not sure if you guys are fans of diesel engines, but we have 335d in Lemans Blue with the M sport kit and JBD tune and this thing is a blast.
Just found out that we might be getting the 2014 335d with the x-drive, 309 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque (almost M5 level on the toque side).
This might be coming to the States early next year. If it does, I am definitely getting it.

It's an interesting car but the throttle lag is unacceptable to me.

I've been eyeing diesel cars for the past 3 years. Performance is par with Gasoline-driven cars.
I'm much liking the new GOLF diesel body style http://www.thedieseldriver.com/wp-co...9/DSC_0685.jpg

Totally agree with you on this. It was annoying the crap out of me when I first started driving it, but Burger Tuning minimized it by a lot.
With the JBD tune it destroyed my e39 m5.

GOLF's are not as exciting to drive as the 335d in my opinion.
Try the BMW diesel. I am curious to hear other opinions.

My sister has an E90 335d, the torque is immense and feels quick. And she gets 40 MPG. Definitely telling her about this new one

Golf's are made to be driven around, running errands, or even commuting back and forth to work.
HOwever, 335d can do that, and much more. But Golf requires less diesel, if you are not looking for performance.

I think the new one might be rated at 45mpg due to the new 8 speed transmission.

Here is my other half's D. The car is awesome, but if F30 shows up in the US with the 335D, we are definitely changing.

Yea we did a tune from Burger tuning. It's called JBD.

Throttle lag just will not be there , trust me, I just got out of the 330D F31 M Sport, for this new M5, and throttle response is equal to this easy.
Almost instant response too.
The 335 D engine is running over 300 BHP.
I have done 300 miles so far on tour mostly in Comfort to be fair, but the throttle response in this mode is SLOW.
However dropping two gears helps a lot.

John, do you remember your fuel economy, and total miles/kilometers driven on a single tank?
