optiguard, more dusty afterward?

maybe it's just because i have a dark color car, but it seems like after getting optiguard, dust sticks to the car more than before. anyone else notice this?

Not sure. 22PLE is supposed to be better with dust.

I topped my optiguard with Sonax Polymer Netshield and this seems to help.

thanks, apparently with some of these coatings there is more static on the surface, hence more dust is attracted and sticks. i'm going to try Chemical Guys Speed Wipe Spray Anti-static Quick Detailer.

if you want something really good to top a coating you should try the Sonax Polymer Net Shield.

Its been getting extremely good results!

Optiguard - how do you find a detailer/dealer for this and how long is it supposed to last?

I have noticed this as well, especially on the rear. Bought the SONAX, going to put it on after the next bath

Hi, I realize this is an old thread, but I'm new on here and have a SingGray being built (the wait is killing me). I also am interested in finding an optiguard installer... did you have any luck finding one in TX? in west or north tx?

Thanks so much...

Here is an old bookmark I have of authorized installers. I'm not sure how up to date or accurate it is. http://batchgeo.com/map/232199a337c8...9c28a4d3b9c6e7

Did you try the CG anti-static QD and did it work?

I have tried a GTechniq UV Wash - a shampoo designed for marine applications and claimed to have "powerful anti-static property which means it repels dust and dirt very effectively". I have to say that this product made no noticeably difference

I'm 2 months out from 22ple. Had static issues early on but those have now disappeared.
