SSP Clutch Installed - Currently at 450 miles of break in

Hey guys,

So i've been city driving my 2013 M5 for about a month now, and I am close to the 500 miles break in period before I can really go have some fun....

I am currenty at 450 miles, and have been driving in (D) econo mode for 70% of the miles. The rest I have been switching between S1,2,3 with non aggressive driving (never passed 3200 rpm). I've been using the paddle shifters more often and shifting normally.

I hope to hit 500 Miles tomorrow, is there something I should do once I hit 500 miles? Should I slowly go past 4000 rpm and go through all the gears or something.

I just want to make sure I finish up the process correctly before I can do some WOT runs. Its been a slow process - I dont want to screw it up now that I have come this far.

thanks

Nothing to do - should have floored it at 200 miles!

It has to bed and needs some torque after the first 200.

I did break in with D3 and drove manual most of the time. For the most part drove normal until 500 miles and did another adaptation then beat the hell out of it for a bit. Clutches held up great with meth and boost turned up.

Thanks!

Just completed 500 miles. Went through a 1/4 of a tank going through all gears at 4500-6000 rpm on an empty highway. What a blast.

I did notice that sometimes in 3rd or 4th gear at wot it would shift down to 5th at around 5k on its own.

I am running a tune from mission performance and i should be at around 670 wtq. Pretty strong.

Any ideas what could cause the car to downshift on its on at higher rpms on 3rd or 4th?
