I noticed BMW is now incorporating the BMW Individual colors on the main page when you price out your F10. It seems a bit shocking that the BMW individual color option is only $1,800 more? I REALLY want a F30 M sport in Champagne Quartz Metallic, what are the chances it will be only $1,800 for this option?

BMW is broadening the availability of "Individual". Before, you could only get the whole ~$8K package called Individual Composition. Now that they've seen the popularity of it, you can get bits and pieces in Individual colors and not do the full package. The profit margin is huge, since these are simply different colors and are no more expensive to paint than normal Black Sapphire.

However, when you dive into getting bits and pieces done in Individual colors that aren't offered as options (Laguna Seca Blue, Snake Green, Dakar Yellow) You'll be paying a premium to get that individual Individual color. IIRC they've been charging $5-$8K for M3's in Fire Orange. To wrap up, BMW is offering a smaller, more mainstream Individual color palette at a discount compared to jumping through all the hoops of the custom Individual program.

BMW Individual 'Full' still isn't the same as 'standard full' according to this chart.

Make note of the upper section of the instrument panel. The same 'foil grained', whatever that is, that you see on the standard (extended) leather option is there for the individual.

Yes the seats are fully leather but it still isn't apples to apples as compared to the standard full options.

it's pretty normal for the configurator to have some things wrong for a while when it first goes up. it's kind of a BMW tradition.

Exactly, that's because Individual Full is not on the chart and is a separate thing all togoether.

The information on this was posted by member uhn2000 on 4/27/12.

The order code I believe was upholstery codeZ1 and then whatever the rest of the code is.

So what's the verdict, can you get Individual in Full (dash board and all)?

Latest I heard the Manual has a $1,000 Gas Guzzler tax, the DSG $1,300.

So what colors are in "Moonstone" and "Amazonite Silver"?

I know these colors are impossible to capture in photos but the amazonite almost looks like it has a green hue where the Moonstone has blue in some pictures, but then I see other threads saying that has a little green and in the BMW individual catalog it looks like a pink hue!

I wish they made Mineral White as an option on the M5, but I am thinking Moonstone might be the next best option, don't want a pure white and don't want a pure silver... Love the Sakhir orange but think I would get sick of it after a while.

To all prospective M5 owners: Sakhir Orange interior is a must. It's stunning!

And from what we've seen on the lot, you really can't go wrong with any exterior colour. But if you're willing to go for something special, opt for Champagne Quartz. Its many hues transform the car by the minute as the sunlight changes.

Got the same thing. Probably working out the kinks before officially releasing it (making it available under the M menu).

It will be back soon. BMW NA has told us that they'll have it running (and without glitches) very soon.
