///M fading on oem calipers

My front calipers on my 2012 m5 look like the ///M lettering is fading away , why? I think it shouldn't any body else?

Mine and my brother's (both 2013s) are doing the same thing. We were told the logo is painted on the calipers and I guess will continue to fade. Pretty frustrating, to say the least.

Its probably the wheel de-greaser your car wash uses.

I have heard of these being replaced under warranty by some dealers.

If you leave enough brake dust on the calipers, it will protect the colors from fading. (j/k)
