You can pick up vacuum line caps from autozone. Glue them on per instructions or use a hose clamp as I did. That's the proper way.

Lol. I guess that's one way to look at it. Keep us posted bro, hopefully it wasn't modded too much, and well taken care of.

If I took this out of context, my bad. (I'm not trying to be "that guy")...All I'm saying is the write up should be a bit more on the positive side. Maybe a headline stating how great *insert dealership name here* is and what they did to correct a crappy situation - They threw in a 100k warranty for his "troubles". not really sure how this leaves someone down and out... Cars fail - and now it's guaranteed for another 75k miles!!! enjoy the car and now peace of mind.

It's a bummer these issues are negatively impacting your new ownership.

In my experience and search for an M5, I found that of the 7-10 M5s I drove, each was different. Some felt used and abused, some where rock solid, some felt stronger/weaker, and a few them were so well taken care of you couldn't tell they were even pre-owned.

What was the condition like for the rest of the car? Was the "deal" indicative of the overall condition/flaws?

Hopefully it all works out in the end.

I'd definitely be disappointed, but I think like smoorebmw said, try to look on the bright side. After years of bmw ownership, a couple with Ms, and almost a decade without, definitely look on the bright side. If they get this sorted, which appears to be the case, you will have the best sedan in the world. For me, there is not another car I'd rather have as a daily driver.

That service warranty isn't all crap... look up what a brake replacement costs. Hopefully you can use it to get a few brake flushes, brake pads, oil changes, air filter crap. Could be worth 3-4k that way.

Thank you everyone for the support and feedback. I got a surprising call today from service and it looks like the issue was resolved with a software reset in the car following the vacuum hoses being installed. They also assured me that any issues in the near future that pop up will be covered on their dime if anything happens so I can have confidence in my purchase. I just picked the car up and drove it back home.

Oh man does this beauty haul ass. I'm one happy camper again!

Congrats! When I picked up mine I had a drivetrain malfunction. Bad ignition coil covered under warranty. Flawless since.

My CPO had worn clutches when I bought it. The transmission started clunking and making weird noises. Apparently the previous owner who is an M5post member had too much fun launching with drag radials. If I buy another M car, it will likely be brand new. My warranty covered the repairs, and now all is well.

What interior color is the car? Any carbon upgrades?

The exhaust valve fix should have been very easy and all should be good now. Mainly curious if this car is the old Vivid Racing project car as it had Meisterschaft and was white and I believe it was recently traded in or sold again.

Secure vacuum lines by inserting a screw inside the hose. That how i do when doing the baffle mod flap to be completely open. Very simple.

congrats on your new car , congrats on power being there but............................................... .................................................. ...............

I would seriously take allmotors advice and do a serious ck for past Major Modds.. modds are ok these are strong cars and motors but if pushed past a certain point well lets just say that'd not be a car i want nor should you..

rt now the dealer is doing and making all good cause by law you have 30 days to shove that car back up their ass's..

if your are still comfortable w this car after doing what allmotor said i would get it in writing and email or something sstating what the serv mgr said about costs..

the smallest thing on this car in for service w out warr.. could literally repave your driveway for example : those 2 turbo's + labor somewhere north of 10k

just my 0.02 cents

Again congrats and Enjoy

Another reason why you only buy those cars certified and preferably new if you can afford it. I owned an F10 M5 and now I'm on my 3rd M car now M3 ZCP! Love those cars and don't think I can drive anything else!
