Short review on the Switzer P700 Package.
Automobile Magazine has just released a short review on the Switzer P700 Package.
As some one who has driven one and raced one, I can attest that the tune is legit and still maintains the stock drive feel until you really get on the throttle. http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...r_p700_bmw_m5/ Hope you enjoy!

Any idea who makes the "Switzer" cat-back exhaust?

I wonder how much just for the tune? Don't need the CF delete (i.e., new air filter) or the cat-back.

Serendipitous...I was just posting yesterday that there was no news on this thing. Thanks Dave!

Bit disappointing - how could they possibly not feel a 140 hp difference beyond pulling on the stocker? Unless they never mashed the throttle in either it should have been obvious.

Stock is underrated.
My dyno reflected 58whp gain and 60+wtq I sure as hell can feel it. Also raced it against my stock M6 and it crushed it. |

Still it seems really good. I had a Dinan tune on my 550i and one of the best benefits was that it increased power a lot at the lower rpms which made the car feel more responsive - it was like a catapult effect. would you say that low rpm throttle response has improved as well?

My dyno reflected 597whp on 91 octane and mid 90's for temps with switzer tune.
With drivetrain loss I believe it's pretty darn close to 700hp @ crank. I wouldn't say throttle response has changed, but you can feel the 560+ torque down low as significant increase from 2.5-4k range |

Since this is a 'Piggy back' system, is it at all noticeable to BMW should they interrogate the factory ECU? I'd love to have the extra power but since my ability to use it is kind of limited, I don't want to have a warranty repair denied because of it.

All speculation though, as I don't work for BMW.

It was up against a press car and rumour has it they use the remapped file that is knocking around the tuners? So if it pulled on a press car it must be quick?

I just read that their own car was the "press" car. I didn't take away that it was "tuned" with the flash that is running around.
