Low Windshield Washer Fluid
Didn't get many views or bites in the sub-forum so I'm reposting here in hopes someone has some answers:
In the year I've owned my m5, I've seen more Low Windshield Washer fluid warnings than I have in the last 10 years of owning other cars. My dealer checked and said there are no leaks. I probably get a the warning every 3 month. The dealer's response to me was the auto headlight washers use a lot of fluid. I haven't been able to find anyone who can tell me how often or what triggers them. Anyone know this info? I don't see any leaks under the car and I don't use my washers a whole lot, but it's like a black hole. I just put 1 gallon of fluid in. I can't imagine ever using a gallon in the last 3-4 months... |

The headlight washers are activated in this manner.. On the 5th pull of the washer stalk with the headlights or parking lights on the washer will activate. If you used the washer with the light switch in the "0" position , those pulls DO NOT count. Hope that helps.
