I'm on the 5:35 PM flight out of Newark, NJ on Friday, August 31st. It's a code share with Luftansa, but is operated by United. I just called United and they confirmed this flight WILL NOT be impacted by the strike. Phew!!!

Here's one article guys:

http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...reaking36.html

I just called Lufthansa to confirm my flight info. They said that if a strike happens starting tomorrow and my flight is affected then Lufthansa will book me on another carrier with no extra charges or fees. This is provided that there are other carriers that are flying from San Diego to Munich, which there are. I checked Travelocity and Expedia, and it looks like there are many other carriers doing that route on 8/30.

So I don't think that we should have too much to worry about.

So far. The strike starting tomorrow will only affect domestic Germany travel.

But no one know what will happen next. So if you are connecting within Germany. Better take the train.

That's us. Oh well, we'll just have to go to Vegas or something.

me too, my flight doesnt leave until next thurs. I talked to lufthansa they said they will just credit back, not book another flight for me. So in turn I would have to find another way to get there. Then the whole thing will be effed up....

It looks like LH 454 will not be cancelled. But its running 6 hours behind schedule.

Still not show departed Frankfurt. LH455 SFO- FRA will be most likely delayed.

I'm on LH459 Direct from SFO-MUN. Still looks good for us (knock on wood). I hope those going through Frankfurt don't get stuck.

You are looking good. The inbound flight already left munich.

I feel for the frankfurt flight. It will arrive at SFO only half hour earlier.
