Order to Delivery

I'm told by the dealer 7-8 weeks. Is this what people are experiencing? I live outside of Houston, if that matters-with respect to transportation from the coast. (Heck, I guess the cars are shipped right here to The Port of Houston, so probably faster than someone in the middle of the country...)

Yeah. That's in fact pretty good. If you assume your car goes into production a week after you order it (otherwise it wouldn't be customizable). Then a week to produce the car. Now you're at 2 weeks. 1 week for it to get on boat. So three weeks till it ships. Then 3-4 weeks to reach Houston. So you're at 6-7 weeks. Then if customs and VPC clearance is quick, you may get it in 7-8 weeks.

If you ask me that's a best case scenario.

once the car reaches production 6-9weeks is the time frame until the end user takes delivery of the vehicle in the states.

Just keep in mind that the plant is on holiday until Jan 2. So nothing happens until then and there may be a backlog.

I'm thinking that I'll place my order about the third week in January, so I should get it in late March/early April, I suppose.
