Good looking wheels! Did Dinan tell you the offsets for the front and rear? I just got some BBS wheels and used a 275/35-20 for the front, and don't think I could have gone to the 285/30 with those rims because of fender well clearance. I know Dinan says the 285 will work with their rims, and think for the track that would be the best choice. Which tires do you plan to mount?

No, I didn't get the offsets. I would imagine Dinan would make sure that they fit considering it's a custom fitment for the F10 M5. I wanted to put a 285/305 combo on, however these were not available (Michelin PSS or PZeros). Michelins are on major back order, so I had to go with the PZeros in 275/30 and 305/30.

Thx! It's been a long process in deciding which wheels to get, but happy with the results. :-)

Perhaps I'm being too picky with this thinking, but I don't know how much the tire sizing factors into how the car sensors control things. With the stock sizing having the front tire diameter .3" larger than the rear, I wonder if using a 35 series front might be more in line with the stock sizing? Probably won't affect anything, but it would be frustrating if the car thought the rear tires were spinning in relation to the front since they are rotating faster than normal in comparison. This car is so computer controlled with its various modes, I wonder if a basic such as tire diameter is now dictated to us?

You're probably right, and my thinking was backwards anyway. If the rear tires were smaller than stock they would be rotating at a higher rate, the fronts are probably not as critical. Although, I do believe the car is constantly comparing all four wheels and there are parameters that it is programmed to maintain. The car can compensate with brake application or reduction of power to remedy what it perceives as a problem. Love to see the pictures when everything comes together!

You are in fact correct. I recently ran slightly taller (0.3" difference) rear drag radials and transmission in connection with the rear diff kept on freaking out, wouldn't shift or traction control would come on for no reason.

Well, they're on... Here's a quick iPhone shot. Pay no mind to the tire in the front seat. LOL.

Fairly pleased with the fitment. The rears I think need a spacer, so I think I'm going to try a 10mm or possibly a 12.

That does look good! With the shadows it's difficult for me to tell, but your car looks lower than just the H & R springs would put it? Would love to see some views of the tires in relation to the wheel well from front and rear angles.

Could be that stock wheels are in the car and tires are loading down the rear. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow in better light.

Not a big fan of Dinan but those wheels are so beautiful!
What type of lowering springs are on the car! Can't be just the CP they look like 1 inch lower at least than stock !!?

OK, so I decided to go ahead and put a spacer on the rear. I put on a 12mm and I think it's perfect. Not sure if I am going to put one on the front as I think it may be fine. But if your car is lowered at all you will want a spacer of some kind to fill out the wheel well.

Thanks for the pictures. The Dinan offsets must be different from the BBS. Your 305 rear, even with the 12mm spacer is still slightly more inside the wheel well lip than mine with the BBS. The front is more like the BBS, but still has room for the 285 I think. Your car is looking great!

Yes, a 285 in front should be no problem at all. Maybe when Michelin replenishes their stock at Tire Rack I'll give it a go. :-D

Thx!
