OEM Exhaust with AMS DP's Dyno

Same shop, same dyno. I know, dynos don't tell us much, but I wanted a comparison between oem and catless downpipes. I went to the same shop and the car suprises me once again.
Stock dyno a month ago 552hp
One mod, catless dp's, today's dyno 580hp

When car was bone stock I ran another M5 with Akra exhaust, AFE catless dp's and some piggy back tune and we were dead even 3rd and 4th gear.

Niko, if you are around I would like to compare our cars doind a 3rd gear pull.

Nice runs... although your baseline was in 100 degree weather and your subsequent ones were in cooler temps.

Im still on the fence for catless or catted pipes; hearing about the waste gate noises, cel issues, and sometimes marginal gains. I wonder what you would have pulled baseline at 80 F.

That is why I wanna get on the road and do simple pulls. I posted in the regional section asking for people to have a friendly run just for comparison reasons and there was 300 views and not a single reply.
Need to pm Niko. You still have your 5?

I get it--- Niko and you should be good to go--- EAS dyno'd his in the high 500's but Im not sure of the conditions. I think his curves are more stout though thru the sweet spots.

The regionals are kind of non traveled unfortunately... but yet members like to say they want them.

Nah, we just got them and stayed LOL

Its funny I drove my C4S yesterday and it was just fantastic to drive for so many reasons: carving tight turns, high speed bends and screaming hi rev exhaust notes and yet today I was equally happy with the M6 blowing down the Mexican toll roads at 150 +++... of course when I was going into a turn at 130 I didnt feel all too courageous like I do in the 991

I know what you mean. I was on the 405 on-ramp from Bristol pushing the m5 and the steering just doesnt provide you with that comort for pushing.

Let's just say.....I don't know, maybe my m5 broke down last night next to the P dealership and I did check out the 4s. I blame it on all of you. Nonethe less, amazing machine, love the steering.

The onramp at bristol to the 405 S is a great test of steering- chassis lean- suspension- and power with control. I love it in all my cars but especially in the R8...

Your car is making some nice power! Have you figured out anything to prevent the CEL?

Yes, but it would require too much work. O2 simulator located passed the resonators, which would serve as a secondary o2, but wiring would be a mess. Might as well just wait for ESS tune, otherwise nothing else works. Guys at EAS could nit figure out why the car makes more power than others and I swear I didn't do anything special, but I won't be convinced until we get on the road and do couple 3rd gear pulls.

Vic you really need to let me hook you up with these fatted DPs. They are insane quality double-walled just like OEM. No issues and the power increase is very noticeable. These are the kind YOU would want.

Very impressive gains, I'm curious what the catted add in HP. I have the catted with stock and totally forget to get it dynoed before adding them The gains are very noticeable too.

On the top end catted will be 10hp less than the catless. They use race cats, same ones they use on the 1000+ horsepower GTR.
