Not sure if I can post the link but if it masks it, just look at N54tech M page and look at the Install instructions. Its posted on the first page.

Based on conversations I've had with BMS,you'll need the stage 1 to upgraded to the JB4. Not sure why it's not a complete set. I believe someone has amused them the question and was told they are all sold separately. Stage 1, JB4, and the BMC

BMS is only making the JB4 upgrade available to those who already own their Stage1. They tend to be loyal to their existing customers by giving them upgrade paths and first crack at it. At some point in the future when the existing customers have had a chance to upgrade then they will probably release a full JB4 stand alone kit.

I was under the impression that the jb4 is still undergoing beta testing. Is that not the case Mike?

See the links I posted above... It's available for purchase. BMC which will be the major power adder is still not available but has been priced and showing on the page.

Here is the page - scroll down to S63TU

You can find more info on the M page on N54 tech

You'll need the JB4 upgrade kit which you referenced and you will need the BCM which is down on that page for $200 but not yet available. The BCM is what will produce the power. In total your spending $600 in addition to the stage you purchased.

As for the speed governing, I am not sure about that. Best to email BMS.

The BCM will be able to control the waste gates and change the duty cycle directly. I now have to reduce the boost with jb4 alone as my duty cycle trims have maxed out.

Yes I do. And the jb4 doesn't remove your speed limiter. Only flash tunes can.

Will need a flash tune to remove Top Speed limiter. Some go this route while still keeping the piggyback, or just go full flash.

Question on governing speed. Everyone says 155mph but on the 2015 comp pkg I have exceeded 160 twice. Is the HUD wrong or is the factory limit higher than what is advertised? Need to find an airstrip to test this

You've got a few mph over the 155 its not a hard and fast 155 espeically if say you're going down a hill they'll be a 2-7mph +/- difference from what you see... So you get on a favorable road you could take a stock M5 and get it up to 163-167 but you might only be going 155-161.

If you're not stock and on max boost jb4, meth, nice intake/exhaust and downpipe setup [so still governed] your car while its got more power to pull way past 155 by like 147-150ish has pulled power because its telling itself no longer needed. Something M6beast ran into on his dyno, he was trying to get accurate numbers but was getting to the limiter so quick on the dyno it was pulling power before a perfect reading.

So in short if your cars hud/speedo says 167 odds are you are not going 167 on a verifiable vbox/true speed reading.

I had jb stage 1 went to flash tune, flashed it back to stock, running jb4 and can't be happier, smooth as a butter, gains are as advertised.

I don't want to knock anyone, but all flashes are the same, they all use the same files from BR, if they tell you otherwise, it's a lie. Thanks !

This is great. I also am a Stage 1 customer and am still running the Stage 1 right now. Should I just wait until the BCM is available before ordering the JB4 then? Also, I assume the new JB4 connects into the OBDII Port, I have the BMS CAN CEL Delete Tool plugged into the OBDII Port still, so is there a work around for this, for us that need the CEL to be deleted as well, or did I miss something and does the JB4 delete the CEL too? Anybody know?

I wish I could remove the limiter with a JB4 but that is not as important as eliminating the CEL. For me personally, I still think it's too risky doing a Flash Tune the way everyone is doing it, although I personally know people who have had success with it. Some days I really wished I could just delete the Cold Start, every single day, my car starts earthquakes in the mornings with the straightpipes. But having the limiter removed is pretty much pointless in the Northeastern United States. Somewhere like Texas or Southern California, it would be much more useful.

You took the words outta my mouth, but I feel like I have a reputation to uphold and I don't want to offend anyone by telling them what I think is the truth.
